Being able to participate at Cannes for a premiere is one of the highlights early on in my career.
The film I scored, The River Murders, is a psychological thriller film directed by Rich Cowan, starring Ray Liotta, Christian Slater, Ving Rhames and Gisele Fraga. It originally premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and had a limited release in September 2011. The plot of the film revolves around a detective named Jack Verdon (Ray Liotta) who is investigating a series of brutal murders when he finds out that everyone is a woman he has had a relationship with in his past. When his superiors find out his connection, they force him off the case. Verdon continues to work outside of the law and confronts his past to catch the killer.
My soundtrack for the film was even picked in Film Music Magazine. Thank you again, Daniel Schweiger, for the lovely review, it meant so much coming from you! Special thanks to an absolutely stunning cellist and good friend, Tina Guo and the mesmerizing singer (and also a good friend) Liz Constantine for your wonderful work on this soundtrack. You two and the rest of the musicians really made the music come to life.
